Purpose:

This Special Interest Group focuses on topics relating to DNA, and on those relating to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for genealogy. The focus in both cases is on solving practical problems in genealogy and breaking down brick walls. The practical application of DNA in finding elusive ancestors, using DNA to find birth parents of adoptees (both current and historical), the use of Y-DNA, and other DNA strategies are discussed. AI tools and cutting-edge uses of artificial intelligence for genealogy are discussed. Guest speakers are often utilized.
