The Fairfax Genealogical Society Newsletter (ISSN 0895-2078) is published five times per year in September, November, January, March, and May. It keeps Society Members informed of upcoming events of the Society and other local societies and research facilities and includes articles and announcements of genealogical interest.
Members receive the Newsletter electronically by e-mail. In addition, current and past issues of the Newsletter are available electronically to Society Members on the Members Only section of this website.
The Newsletter is indexed in the PERiodical Source Index (PERSI) of the Allen County Public Library Foundation.
Awards
The Fairfax Genealogical Society Newletter was awarded first place in the National Genealogical Society’s 2023 Newsletters Competition. Our congratulations to the editors: Caroline Brethauer, Stephanie Glotfelty, and Ruth Sando, for the tremendous job they did this year!
Submissions
We encourage the submission of articles and news items of interest to genealogists, including Bible records. Transcriptions of records related to Fairfax County are particularly needed.
