We invite you to join us for the meeting of the FxGS Family History Writing SIG online Zoom meeting on Monday night, June 3rd from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, to review a manuscript prepared by Jenni Ford.

While interviewing family members, she was told that her grandmother's uncle, Elbert Smith, was convicted of shooting at a man while he was in a drunken stupor. The bullet missed his intended target, but killed Elbert's first cousin, a teenager who was standing behind the man who was targeted. Jenni went on a quest to prove or disprove the story and fill in the blanks.

We are looking for manuscripts to review at the Nov. 4 and Dec. 2 meetings. If you have a manuscript you are writing for your family or publication, members of the Family History Writers’ Special Interest Group would enjoy reading and reviewing your family narratives to help you to make them even better.

We are all at different levels of writing skills and experience, and we enjoy helping each other. Whether questions of grammar, comma usage, spelling variations, or those fiendish footnotes, we welcome the opportunity to discuss and debate the issues.
