April Beginners' SIG Meeting

The next FxGS Beginners' SIG meeting will be held virtually, as April is an even-numbered month and that's how we've been organizing things. It will be Wednesday, April 10th from 7-8:30pm. I will send out the Zoom link a few days ahead of time.
Beginners SIG

Beginners Genealogy Special Interest Group

SIG Leader: Stephanie Glotfelty
Email: beginners@fxgs.org

Purpose: Are you new to genealogy? Feel the need for a refresher on certain topics? Are you trying to figure out what to do with all the names and dates that you have gathered? Are you running into brick walls before you feel like you've even gotten started? The Beginners’ SIG is a chance for novice genealogists to gather, learn, and share some of the challenges they are facing. Email Stephanie Glotfelty to be added to the SIG email list to get Zoom links.

Meetings: Our meetings are open to all — you do not have to be a member of the Fairfax Genealogical Society to attend. Meetings are held on the 2ndWednesday of every month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. In odd-numbered months, we will meet in person at the Annandale FamilySearch Center, and in even-numbered months, we meet via Zoom.
Participants range from beginners to experienced experts.

Members who are logged in can click on this button to see the SIG members: SIG Members (All SIGs)

Program Schedule: Generally our topics are driven by the interests of the group members. Topics range from open discussion to presentations by regular group members and invited outside speakers. The meeting schedule and current topics for the 2023-2024 year are below:
