The Fairfax Genealogical Society is pleased to participate in Arlington HistoryFest 250 on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kenmore Middle School, 200 S. Carlin Springs Rd., Arlington, VA.
FXGS will have a table at the event where visitors can learn more about family history research, ask genealogy questions, and receive suggestions for finding that next record. We especially welcome those who are new to genealogy and curious about how to begin researching their family stories.
Arlington HistoryFest 250 will bring together a wide range of history-focused organizations, interpreters, reenactors, musical performances, historical storytelling, hands-on demonstrations, children’s activities, and crafts. The Virginia Mobile Museum will also be on site, offering visitors an engaging way to explore Virginia’s rich history as part of the VA250 commemoration.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with local history, introduce friends and neighbors to genealogy, and share the work of the Fairfax Genealogical Society with the broader Northern Virginia community.
Admission is free and open to all.
