Description: Explore how digital tools, including those using AI, can transform family history into compelling stories, using multimedia platforms, interactive timelines, and digital scrapbooking to make ancestry more engaging for your family. The latest tools will be demonstrated, including those from MyHeritage, and other tools that allow you to create visual stories with images, video, text, and music; tools for creating digital timelines; tools that can incorporate recording or narration; and digital scrapbooking tools.
Janet Hall Werner, J.D., is a professional genealogist, family historian, attorney and writer. She is a graduate of several courses at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP) and the Salt Lake Institute for Genealogy (SLIG) and has over 20 years of experience in genealogical research. She serves on the Board of the Fairfax Genealogical Society (FxGS) and is the current coordinator of the FxGS Genetic Genealogy (DNA) & AI Special Interest Group (SIG), where she makes presentations routinely. She holds a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
