Putting it all Together: Making Sense of All the Research You've Done
You want to tell the story of your family, but don’t know where or how to begin. This lecture illustrates tables and tools you can use to organize, analyze, and properly cite all those records you have.
Breathing Life into Ancestral Stories
What more can you learn about your ancestors’ lives beyond names, dates, and places? How can you uncover more about their social history and their communities? In this lecture, learn how to find the details that make their stories come alive.
Using Artificial Intelligence for Genealogical Research
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is all the rage in genealogy now, and for good reason. Have you tried it yet? If not, this lecture is for you. Robyn illustrates the many ways this new technology can benefit genealogical researchers. This lecture shows AI responses via PowerPoint slides, but a live demo at the end shows the tools in real time.
Robyn Smith, CISSP, CGRC has been researching her family and others for over 25 years. A Chief Systems Security Engineer by day, Robyn applies those research and problem-solving skills to the field of genealogy.
She has lectured widely at genealogy conferences, for genealogy societies across the U.S. and for institutions such as the Maryland State Archives. She presented several lectures at RootsTech 2025.
Robyn has written articles for Family Tree Magazine, published articles in the peer-review Maryland Genealogical journal and the National Genealogical Society Quarterly journal.
