About this event

Technology's Impact on Genealogy:   From equipment to software and apps, as well as tools and back-up storage to increased access to records, the ability to do online genealogy research has exploded exponentially.   DNA analysis, artificial intelligence, and photo restoration provide tools for the genealogist.   Apps for your smartphone and tablet put genealogy on the go in your hands.   Let's also consider whether these new tools open doors that may send us mixed messages about using them.

Sue Mueller
Sue Mueller: A retired educator and administrator, Sue Mueller has been working seriously on genealogy for more than 30 years and has used Family Tree Maker genealogy software since 1996, including participating in beta testing over the years.  An active participant and presenter for the Erie Society for Genealogical Research, she has also taught monthly genealogy classes for the Erie County Public Library (both in person and via Zoom) for more than eight years.
