About this event

The German Special Interest Group of the Fairfax Genealogical Society will meet on Monday, 16 September 2024 from 1pm to 3pm at the VIRGINIA ROOM in the MAIN FAIRFAX LIBRARY at 10360 North St, Fairfax, VA 22030. Bob Dunfield will give a presentation on the Virginia Room holdings in its own collection for German Genealogical resources. These will be compared to the extensive listing of holdings that John D. Beatty, Head Librarian of the Allen County Public Library, gave at the IGGP Conference in June 2023. This is a good opportunity to see in person the Virginia Room resources that are available to support your family genealogy research.

The change in venue was due to a scheduling conflict at the Pohick Library in September.

Our October meeting will be back at the usual place at the Pohick Regional Library, 6450 Sydenstricker Rd., Burke, VA on Monday, 21 October 2024. At this meeting, Ilka Lazaroff will present “Solved and Unsolved Genealogical Mysteries of Weber Family.”
