A reminder that we’ll be having our Irish SIG on Tuesday 14 Nov at 2 o’clock at the Pohick Regional Library in Burke. Ruth Ann Sando will talk to us about how to determine who your ancestor’s landlord might have been. Ruth will also expand upon the article she wrote for the Fairfax Newsletter in which she introduced us to Irish Landowners who were slave holders. Ruth will discuss how to research the slave owner compensation information to find if they applied for compensation. She’ll use some examples of how this information might help you in your research.
