FxGS Receives NARA Award for Scanning Project
The Fairfax Genealogical Society was presented the Archivist's Achievement Award by the National Archives for scanning 8,000 pages of pension files of Company A, 2nd Colored Troops Infantry Regiment, which was organized in Arlington, VA in 1863. Susan Zweighaft, who coordinated this effort with the National Archives, received the award. Thanks to all of you who volunteered to be part of this effort.
